Project Pikin is a non governmental, non profit, charity organization that seeks to cater to Sierra Leone's growing number of street children and orphans. The organisation was very active and effective in the distribution of basic essentials to children affected by the Ebola crisis. Currently Project Pikin has been coordinating the collection of clothes, toys, books and other necessities for children affected by the flooding and landslide in Freetown. Lifeline Nehemiah Projects
Founded in 1996 as an organic response to the brutal
conflict in Sierra Leone, Lifeline Nehemiah Projects set about rebuilding the
lives of ex-child soldiers and young people affected by war. The organisation
currently operates several projects throughout Sierra Leone including: formal
education, vocational skill training, agricultural development, various social
enterprises and a care home for young people. Dedicated to holistic development
and rebuilding Sierra Leone, Lifeline Nehemiah Projects works with some of the world’s
poorest and most vulnerable people; community elders; those in government;
businesses; and a wide range of people and institutions to empower individuals
and communities to prosper and become self-sustainable.
Lifeline Nehemiah Projects is Directed by Philip Joe Cole,
recipient of the Queens Young Leader Award by HRH Queen Elizabeth II in 2015
for his community work and fight against Ebola in Sierra Leone. Philip Cole
directs a safe-home programme, four schools and a vocational skills programme that

Foodies Salone
Foodies Salone is currently working with local businesses and restaurants to provide food and drinks to survivors and people affected by the disaster. So far Foodies Salone has partnered with several businesses including Basha and El Frida's Restaurant, Gina's Frozen Yogurt & Coffee, Country Lodge Complex, Bliss Restaurant, Lagoonda Complex - Mamba Point Hotel and New Brookfields Hotel. Street Child, Sierra Leone
Street Child, started its work in Sierra Leone in 2008, working with a small number of street children. Since then its has helped over 60,000 children to go to school and enabled thousands of families to generate sustainable incomes so that their children can stay in education. During the Ebola crisis, Street Child helped over 20,000 Ebola orphans, providing emergency support and connecting thousands with families. Today, Street Child works in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Nepal and Nigeria with a current emphasis on education in emergencies and girls’ education. Latoya Gerber
Latoya Gerber is currently located in Regent, Freetown, quite close to where the landslide took place. She is currently coordinating cooking and distribution of food and other essential to survivors and those affected by the flooding and landslide. This afternoon I will be accompany Nadia Kama to distribute hygiene products, towels, blankets, food and water to women, children and other survivors of the disaster. A Go Fund Me page was setup to solicit funds to assist with the process and so far $4,248 of the $2,000 goal has been reached. To ensure transparency and accountability, a summary and receipts of donations purchased will also be provided to all donors on the Go Fund me account.
