World Youth Skills Day Sierra Leone- Saturday 15 July 2015

In commemoration of World Youth Skills Day 2017, Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Sierra Leone will be hosting a capacity building and networking event on Saturday 15 July 2017 at the  British Council Auditorium, Tower Hill, Freetown, from 10:00 am - 13:00 pm.  


Topics to be discussed include:

1. Is our TVET curriculum and practices reflective of the national/global entrepreneurship/labour market landscape?
2. What should be done to ensure that TVET and polytechnic institutions offer more practical courses?
3. The current skill gap in Sierra Leone, and  what could be done to match labour market demand in the country?
4. How can Sierra Leone as a nation develop a skilled workforce that could lessen private sector’s skills gap needs?
